Virtual meeting

What is a virtual meeting in a remote work environment?

A virtual meeting is when people gather online (typically via video call) to work or share ideas. They have become increasingly popular since the rise of remote work because they provide a space for employees to collaborate from wherever they are in the world.

A major benefit of virtual meetings is that they allow companies and employees to save time and money. There’s no need for employers to hire an office space or for employees to travel to a specific place to get together. Instead, they can use virtual meeting tools which often come with additional features for enhanced collaboration such as video recording, private messaging and calendar integration.

Virtual meetings can also be used to help companies hire remote staff. And when integrated into a streamlined onboarding solution such as Multiplier, these processes can create a great first impression.

To properly set up a virtual meeting, it’s important to schedule well in advance, provide instructions on how to join, develop a clear agenda and ensure that everyone knows how they can participate. Following up after a remote meeting or interview also allows you to ensure engagement.
