Securing a work permit in Indonesia is a crucial step for foreign nationals seeking employment in the country.
The KITAS or Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas, is a limited stay permit that allows foreign national to work for an Indonesian Company. To simplify this, Multiplier offers comprehensive assistance to companies for visas and work permits.

Pre- assessment Check
- Multiplier will conduct a feasibility check to evaluate if the employee is eligible to apply for a visa in Indonesia
- In order to conduct the check, a basic set of documents are requested from the employee:
- Completed New Hire Request from
- Passport
- Job Title/Designation/Salary
- Existing Indonesian Visa
- Any education degree
- Once the desired information is shared, our team will confirm the visa feasibility for the respective employee within 2 working days

RPTKA Online Registration & Submission Foreign Employment Registration | Once all verified, documentation will be sent to the Ministry of Power to apply for RPTKA (employer has to obtain approval to hire from the Indonesian government. This generally means they have to prove why they’re hiring you over an Indonesian citizen 3-4 days in case of express service, 2 weeks in case of standard process |
IMTA Ijin Mempekerjakan Tenaga Kerja Asing which translates to ‘Permission to Employ Foreign Workers’ | This application is also submitted to the Ministry of Manpower. The IMTA is the only authority which allows you to legally work in Indonesia. 7 days in case of express service, 3 weeks in case of standard process |
E-visa | Approval Documentation from Ministry of Power will be submitted to online immigration system. Once approved E-Visa is issued and the candidate can enter Indonesia with the E-Visa. (called C312 and C317 for dependent. 1 week in case of express service, 2 weeks in case of standard process |

Requirements
- Completed New Hire Request Form and Curriculum Vitae
- Education Certificate (at least a Bachelor’s degree)
- A Copy of English must be provided (sworn stranslated)
- Work reference letter from the previous Company, showing at least 5 years of working experience
- 2 Valid IDs (Passport, Driver’s License/Local ID)
- Employee Bank Details Form (for payroll purposes)
Additional Requirements for Working-KITAS applicants:
- For KITAS applicants, please provide full pages of passport (including front and back pages) with a minimum validity of 24 months
- Photo with a red background – use formal attire
- Man: buttoned shirt, tie.
- Woman: white collared button shirt
- Insurance Policy (Health/Travel/Life Insurance), can be issued from any countries
- The latest bank statement showing the applicant’s name and balance of at least equal to USD 2000.00
- Domicile statement letter from the authority where you will reside in Jakarta;
- If you stay in a house (please provide PM 1 letter/SK Domicile from RT, RW, Kelurahan
- If you stay at the apartment, (please provide a building domicile letter from the apartment’s management

Both you and the employee will receive regular notifications from our visa team regarding the progress and latest updates in the visa application process.
Kick – Off Meeting
The objective of this meeting is to offer clarity on the various milestones encompassing the entire visa process, along with associated timelines and the documents/information required. It’s important to note that milestones and timelines might differ between countries due to variations in embassy requirements and provided guidelines.
Bi-Weekly Email Updates
The objective is to provide clarity and transparency regarding the status of visa processing.
An email will be sent on a bi-weekly basis to the employee and employer containing the current status and outlining the next steps.
Monthly Updates
Meeting will be scheduled by the Visa Specialist to inform the employee of the current status and upcoming steps.
