Rwanda has no statutory law for 13th-month pay.
Both employee and employer can terminate the contract based on legitimate grounds and justified reasons. If the employee is terminated after one year of employment, then they will be provided with a notice allowance.
The notice period in Rwanda should be between 15 days to 30 days.
In Rwanda, the severance pay bracket is as follows;
An individual should issue a work permit from the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration to work in the Republic of Rwanda. The individual must present all the documents along with the employment contract.
