How to onboard contractors in the USA
Step 1: Select employment category
Click on “Hire & Onboard” then select “Contractor” as the employment category to begin entering contractor details.
Step 2: Select ‘United States of America’
Use the drop down menu to select the United States of America as the contractor’s tax residency. Select the state they will be working from and determine whether they will be hired directly by your organization or on Multiplier’s entity.
Step 3: Input contractor details
Enter the contractor’s personal information, including name and email address. Select the contract duration as part of this step.
Step 4: Enter compensation details
Set the billing type, billing rate, and payout frequency. Choose between United States Dollars (USD) or Euros (EUR) to pay your contractor. Adjust invoice generation preferences and include any additional compensation, such as commissions or bonuses, if applicable.
Step 5: Create contract
Generate a compliant contract using the platform’s automated contract tool, or upload an existing contract between you and your contractor.
Step 6: Send contract
Review the contract details, then click “Send contract.” Track onboarding milestones and make any necessary revisions before the contractor’s joining date.
