We are in search of a Sales Engineer who is willing to be the face of the company to customers while selling the company’s products and services. You should have a flair of networking and speaking to new customers in order to close sales effectively and efficiently. You would be required to have an extensive knowledge of the products and services offered by the company to answer any queries that might come forth. Job Responsibilities for a Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer, you will be required to maximise customer satisfaction and happiness. You would be required to measure your success with metrics such as new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, upselling and contribution to the sales team and business success. You will have to possess knowledge on the technical aspects of the products and be able to deliver that knowledge to non-technical customers. The ideal candidate must thus have extensive knowledge of the products and services being offered. Following are the responsibilities of a Sales Engineer:

  • Familiarity with product and service specifications
  • Works closely with prospective customers to identify their needs and provide them with solutions to fulfill their needs
  • Collaborate with various teams especially sales team to understand customer pain points better
  • Prepare sales deck and demos to ensure customers are well aware of the uniqueness of the proposition
  • Collect competitive intelligence
  • Logging client feedback to provide for new marketing strategies for target customer
  • Training sales team members on the expertise of the product or service offered
  • Ability to discuss system and engine needs
  • Set and achieve monthly quotas
  • Improve on the sales process by partnering with senior leaderships
  • Maintain positive relationship with prospective customers
  • Cold call in order to reach out to customers
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Prepare monthly and weekly reports
  • Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing/products/trends in the market
  • Keep up to date with the best practices and trends in the industry
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing and company programs
  • Pursue new business opportunities
