As talent becomes scarcer, small and medium-sized businesses are increasingly likely to hire from across the globe. But establishing entities and remaining compliant in multiple countries remains an ongoing battle—not to mention a headache.
That’s where an Employer of Record (EOR) comes in. Instead of struggling with the compliance hurdles of onboarding a global employee on your own, an EOR handles it all for you.
In this article, we’ll teach you how to onboard an employee and generate a contract in 8 simple steps.
How to use an Employer of Record
Step 1: Start here
Click on “Hire & Onboard” on the platform dashboard to get started with onboarding your EOR employee.
Step 2: Select employment category
Select “EOR employee” to begin adding employee details.
Step 3: Select country
Use the drop down menu to select the country your employee will be working from and confirm that they are eligible to work there.
Step 4: Enter employee details
Start filling out the information collected from your employee, such as their name, email, and so on.
Step 5: Set compensation
Enter compensation details and choose payroll frequency. Our platform automatically highlights any important mandatory compliance elements specific to that country.
Step 6: Add benefits
Decide whether to offer benefits directly through our platform via our local partners and select the level of insurance you’d like to provide.
Step 7: Adjust allowances and leave count
Customize allowances and leave entitlements. Multiplier recommends the ideal leave count, probation period, non-compete and other policies based on best practices in every country. Mandatory legal requirements for that particular employee’s jurisdiction are automatically included.
Step 8: Review and send for signature
Once the contract is generated and reviewed, click on ‘Send Contract’ and it will be sent to your employee for their signature.
Employees, onboarded
Using Multiplier’s EOR lets you reliably, transparently, and compliantly hire employees from all across the globe. Book a demo and find out for yourself.
