The payroll cycle in Haiti is Monthly.
Minimum wages vary between HTG 350 to HTG 770 based on industry and profession.
The standard working hours in Haiti are 48 hours for a six-day workweek. The Haitian Labor Law allows overtime of maximum 80 hours per quarter, payable at a rate of 50% above the regular hourly rate.
Employees are entitled to 13th Month salary that is usually paid in the month of December every year.

Both employer and employee can terminate the employment relationship by giving proper notice. Employer also can terminate the employment contract based on the following reasons:

There is no severance pay in Haiti.
Foreign nationals who want to work in Haiti, need to have a work permit. They need to apply for work permits at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The individual applying for Haiti work permits has to be 21 years old and above, have non-Haitian travel documents, and have plans to stay in Haiti for more than three years.
