Dominican Republic workers are paid once a month, usually at the last day of the month. However, some businesses are implementing bi-monthly cycles to pay employees on the 15th and last day of the month.

Termination Process

A written notice and an explanation for the termination is required to start the process.

Notice Period

The notice period depends on the employee’s tenure in the organization:

Severance Pay

In the event of a termination, the employer must give severance pay within 10 days and must follow the severance pay structure below:

Visa and Immigration

Foreign nationals wishing to work in the Dominican Republic must obtain the following:
