A standard rate of 18% VAT is followed.
Unless in case of gross negligence, termination has to be up on mutual agreement of both parties. Other instances of dismissal are the expiration of fixed term contracts and redundancy.
The usual notice period followed in Côte d’Ivoire ranges between one to four months.
Upon termination, compensation is provided for those employees who completed one year of service. The amount corresponds to a percentage of the monthly average wage for 12 months till the date of termination.
